Sunday School

Children in K – 5^th Grades attend a different workshop (art, video, drama, cooking, games, storytelling, etc.) each week with their age group. They engage in different ways to approach and learn the bible story. Shepherds provide consistency and build relationships with children from week to week. LOCATION: Look at the board in the hallway of the Education wing to find out which room you go to each week.

Worship

Sunday mornings at 10:50AM in the Sanctuary. Children are welcome in worship! There are worship bags in the Narthex outside the sanctuary for children. Bags have information for parents to help children engage in worship, as well as some activities for children to do during worship. Childcare is provided in our Nursery for children through Preschool age during worship.

WOW (What's On Wednesdays)

W.O.W. is our mid-week program for Children and youth ages K -12th grade. The program includes a snack, help with homework, free play, group recreation, dinner, and Bible Study. All activities are designed to be age appropriate and children and youth are grouped into classes with people their same age. This ministry is led by our church members as well as Austin College volunteers who may come from a variety of church backgrounds. There are two 8-9 week sessions, one in the spring and one in the fall: September 22 - November 10, 2010 & March 2 - April 13, 2011 (except March 16).

Camps

Kidquake: Each spring 1st - 5th graders go to Camp Gilmont in Gilmer, TX for the weekend. We stay in cabins, sing songs, do energizers, have campfire & s’mores, see skits to present the weekend theme, and do activities along with other kids from all over the presbytery (region) in small groups.

Vacation Bible School: Children 4 yrs -5th grade participate in a week of tremendous fun and lots of creative bible learning. VBS is held in the afternoons in mid June.
